Nitriding uses state of the art furnace and process control ensuring minimum “white layer” and repeatable metallurgical results avoiding post heat treatment machining

Low temperature processing results in minimal dimensional changes. Note: We would recommend a full stress relief after rough machining

Close control of time, temperature and dissociation results in a controlled white layer depth

Versatility of the cycle ensures predictable metallurgical results throuNitridinggh a range of case depths ranging from 0.1 mm up to the more traditional 0.7 mm depth

Suitable for a range of alloyed materials that include Aluminium, Chromium, Molybdenum and Vana- dium. Can include unalloyed or lean alloyed steels

Typical components processed include: General Engineering Items, Gears, Crankshafts, Camshafts, Cam Followers, Die/Extrusion and Mould tooling
