A Pivotal Step Forward for Our Business and Our Community
We’re pleased to share that Keighley Laboratories has reached an important milestone following a major investment from the City of Bradford Towns Fund. This support has allowed us to complete a substantial programme of improvements across our site, strengthening our technical capabilities, expanding our team, and reinforcing our long-standing commitment to Keighley.
The funding has helped us modernise our facilities, introduce new production equipment, and create opportunities for young people beginning their careers in engineering and science. For a company with deep roots in the town’s industrial heritage, these developments mark a significant step forward.
Building for the Future

“This support from the City of Bradford Towns Fund has allowed us to accelerate critical upgrades across our business. We’ve not only integrated cutting-edge testing and production equipment and refurbished our chemical laboratory, but we’ve also improved our energy efficiency by installing a new insulated roof, which is vital for reducing our carbon footprint.”
The completed work includes:
- Growing Our Team: We’ve introduced two new apprenticeship roles—an Apprentice Metallurgical Technician and an Apprentice Chemist—helping us nurture specialist skills here in Keighley.
- Strengthened Production: New machining capabilities, including a saw, milling machine, and cut-off machines, are already improving our speed and capacity.
- Upgraded Technology: A new laboratory and management system, an upgraded server, and additional testing equipment now support more efficient and reliable operations.
Investing in Local Talent
Creating new roles for young people has been one of the most rewarding outcomes of this project.
